Aave Expands GHO and Lending Markets to Monad

Aave deploys V3 on Monad, bringing lending, borrowing, and GHO to the network, giving users access to Aave’s lending and borrowing markets on Monad for the first time.

Decentralized liquidity protocol Aave has deployed V3 on Monad, establishing Aave as a foundational liquidity layer for the Monad ecosystem. The deployment brings lending, borrowing, and GHO to the network, giving users access to Aave’s lending and borrowing markets on Monad for the first time.

Monad is the high-performance blockchain chosen by institutional builders and enables the future of the EVM by combining fast transaction execution with full Ethereum compatibility, making it well suited for real-time financial applications. Together, Monad’s high-performance architecture and Aave’s liquidity create a strong foundation for the next generation of onchain financial applications.

Because Monad is fully Ethereum compatible, developers can integrate Aave into new or existing applications with minimal changes while benefiting from the network’s performance.

The initial Monad market launches with support for USDT0, USDC, GHO, USDe, mUSD, AUSD, WETH, cbBTC, wstETH, weETH, syrupUSDC, and sUSDe, enabling users to supply assets, borrow against collateral, and access decentralized liquidity from day one.

“The next generation of blockchain applications depends on fast execution and deep, reliable liquidity,” said Stani Kulechov, Founder of Aave Labs. “Deploying on Monad extends Aave’s lending markets and GHO to a new high-performance ecosystem advancing the EVM, giving more users access to decentralized finance.”

“Aave is a lending standard that institutions trust and bringing it to Monad means that the Monad ecosystem now runs on the same liquidity primitives as Ethereum, at 10,000 TPS and 800ms finality,” said Keone Hon, Co-Founder and GM, Monad Foundation. “Monad is built for institutional DeFi: the protocols that matter, running where performance actually clears, and extending the use cases unlocked by composability.”

The market deployment was supported by Aave Labs as the technical contributor to the Aave DAO on behalf of the Aave DAO, with risk analysis provided by LlamaRisk, implementation support from TokenLogic, and price data and cross-chain interoperability secured by Chainlink Price Feeds. This also marks the first Aave deployment with day-one support for Chainlink SVR, expanding DAO protocol revenue by recapturing non-toxic oracle MEV.

The deployment on Monad marks another step in Aave’s multichain strategy of expanding lending, borrowing, and GHO to leading blockchain ecosystems, bringing decentralized financial services to more users and applications. For a blockchain ecosystem at the forefront of EVM innovation, Monad was a logical next step.
