  • Strategic agreements span Africa and Asia, showcasing institutional appetite for decentralised satellite communications.
  • Agreements to pilot real-world satellite internet demonstrations in Kenya, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
  • African and Asian agreements showcase rising government and telco interest in permissionless connectivity.

Spacecoin, the world’s first decentralised satellite network powering permissionless global internet connectivity, today announced a series of landmark agreements with government authorities, telecommunications providers, and IoT innovators across Africa and Asia. These collaborations mark a major step forward in Spacecoin’s mission to democratize internet access through a blockchain-integrated satellite infrastructure, announced in the wake of the successful launch of three additional satellites on November 28, 2025.

The agreements, spanning Kenya, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Cambodia, are designed to accelerate the development of decentralised satellite communication systems in regions where terrestrial infrastructure faces economic and logistical limitations.

Key agreements include:

  • Africa: Transmission license with the Communications Authority of Kenya to deliver satellite IoT monitoring solutions and expand connectivity in underconnected regions. In addition, Spacecoin is building upon its existing license from the Nigerian Communications Commission for its initiative to bring high-speed, low-cost connectivity to rural communities.
  • Indonesia: Collaboration with local partners and government agencies to deliver internet access across Indonesia’s 17,000+ islands, addressing the country’s fragmented connectivity landscape.
  • Cambodia: Strategic partnership with MekongNet, one of the nation’s largest ISPs, to extend market reach by providing satellite-powered internet to rural and underserved populations.

These agreements include proof-of-concept demonstrations of decentralised telecommunications infrastructure. Spacecoin will provide the core technology and satellite infrastructure, and work with local partners to oversee ground operations, liaise with local parties, or provide local user support.

Following the success of CTC-0, which transmitted the world’s first end-to-end blockchain message between Earth and space, Spacecoin has now also deployed three CTC-1 satellites in a recent launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.  The CTC-1 satellites will demonstrate real-time intersatellite communication and seamless handover between satellites, marking another leap toward a fully operational decentralised, open communications network.

“Regulatory bodies in key regions are recognising that decentralised satellite technology can deliver the scalability and affordability traditional infrastructure can’t,” said Tae Oh, Founder of Spacecoin. “These agreements confirm that Spacecoin has moved beyond being just an idea, but a real movement with momentum that will unlock permissionless connectivity through open-sourced satellite technology, powered by people and built for people.”

These agreements signal the beginning of Spacecoin’s move toward a large-scale deployment phase. As additional governments and private-sector organisations express interest, the company aims to extend its footprint across emerging markets where affordable, open connectivity can transform economies and empower communities. With the CTC-1 constellation already in orbit and further collaborations underway, Spacecoin is building real momentum to lead a new era in decentralised communications.
