Maple Finance has partnered with Elwood Technologies to streamline institutional access to digital asset credit markets. The partnerships comes at a time when demand for structured onchain products is accelerating.

Elwood will provide Maple with advanced connectivity, execution, portfolio management, and risk tooling. The infrastructure is designed to give institutional investors the transparency and operational reliability they expect in traditional markets.

Founded in 2021, Maple Finance has grown into a recognized player in decentralized finance, offering secured lending, Bitcoin yield products, and structured strategies. Its approach blends traditional capital markets expertise with blockchain transparency.

Elwood is a fintech connector for institutions navigating digital assets. Its software suite links clients to global exchanges, liquidity providers, and custodians, while delivering analytics and execution tools. With roots in both finance and technology, Elwood positions itself as a bridge for institutions exploring crypto markets.

Building an Institutional-Grade Framework

Sid Powell, CEO of Maple, mentioned that institutional adoption depends on access and credibility. “By partnering with Elwood, we are able to establish an institutional-grade foundation of infrastructure, access and transparency,” he said.

Powell framed the deal as a critical step toward extending competitive onchain opportunities to institutional clients.

Chris Lawn, CEO of Elwood, pointed out the importance of credit in digital asset market evolution. “We aim to provide lenders with the tools they need to operate at scale and with confidence,” Lawn noted.

Why the Partnership Matters

Institutional investors are showing heightened interest in digital assets, particularly yield-bearing strategies that offer diversification beyond equities and bonds. Yet operational frictions and fragmented infrastructure have limited participation. Maple’s expertise in onchain credit origination and Elwood’s risk and execution platform could help bridge that gap.

The move reflects a broader trend: traditional institutions are seeking exposure but demand enterprise-grade infrastructure. Combining Maple’s DeFi-native strategies with Elwood’s trading and risk management technology signals a step toward meeting those requirements.
